Body Positive Yoga Retreat

Body Positive Yoga Retreat

Yoga with a Moroccan twist on retreat with body positive yoga teacher and coach Donna Noble

Yoga teacher and body positive coach Donna Noble will be leading a summer retreat at a beautiful private estate nestled in olive groves in the Atlas Mountains this summer.

Overlooked by the snow-capped Mount Toubka, this stylish retreat location includes nine suites, a spectacular pool, tennis courts, a spa and a yoga shala. A labyrinth of pathways leads you through beautiful gardens filled with fragrant flowers and sculptural cacti.

The hospitality of the Berber people is world-renowned: whether you’d like to experience a traditional hammam, enjoy a tea ceremony or sample the famous Moroccan tagine, this retreat will be an immersion into Berber culture while being nurtured in luxurious comfort.

The purpose-built yoga shala looks out onto the mountains with a stunning garden laid out in front of you — a wonderful place to practice yoga over a week, with students on a journey of transformation, discovery, and empowerment.

Your host, Donna Noble, is an accomplished yoga teacher, writer, speaker and coach, who is also on a mission to get as many people as she can to try yoga — no matter your age, experience level, gender, ethnicity or shape. “This retreat will be a fun and immersive experience for everyone and the relaxed plan means you can do as little or as much as you like.”

She says all classes will be fun, safe and judgement-free and have a body positive focus, so the poses are adapted for your unique body. Expect a variety of yoga styles including vinyasa, yin and aqua yoga. “Progressive sequences of postures are combined with the best coaching and wellbeing techniques so that you can cultivate self-acceptance and learn to trust your body in a safe  judgement-free environment.”

Expect talks on body image, self-love, how to eliminate stress, and to be authentically you, while seeing the world from an inside-out perspective so that you can connect with the essence of who you are.

Between classes spend time relaxing by the stunning pool, enjoying Moroccan-French fusion food or book yourself into the spa.  Midweek, there’s a day off so you can take an early morning walk up into the foothills of the Atlas.

The retreat includes six nights’ accommodation, twice daily yoga classes (with one day off mid-week), brunch, dinner, snacks and soft drinks. Flights, hammams and hikes are extra.

The location is run on solar power and the local Berber team have been employed at the venue for many years. The owners have also donated some of their land to the local community who manage a project supplying Yves St Laurent with flowers for their fragrances and all guest travel is offset by the retreat host company, Reclaim Yourself.
