Zulal Wellness Resort
NEW HEALTH AND WELLBEING DESTINATION SET TO OPEN IN QATAR
Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som is scheduled for opening this year, a new health and wellbeing destination in the tiny sun-blessed Gulf state of Qatar.
Located in Khasooma, a private coastal location to the north of Qatar, it will be the Middle East’s first fullimmersion wellness resort and, uniquely, the world’s first centre for Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM). Zulal is an Arabic word which means ‘pure natural water’.
The resort will offer guests unique services and treatments, based upon Islamic wellness principles and use indigenous ingredients to the region, as well as a specially-developed menu of Arabic and Mediterranean wellness cuisine.
The resort is also the first management undertaking by market-leading wellness resort brand Chiva-Som, whose flagship in Hua Hin, Thailand, has won global acclaim since its inception 25 years ago.

The Quiet Site
FIND PEACE AND QUIET IN THE LAKE DISTRICT THIS YEAR
The Quiet Site, in Cumbria’s Lake District, is a great place to head to if you want to disconnect from the madness of the world for a few blissful days.
Occupying a magnificent position overlooking Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District, it consists of several accommodation options, including luxury glamping cabins, timber camping pods, underground Hobbit Holes and self-catering holiday cottages.
You’ll also find all-weather tent pitches and hard-standing pitches for caravans and motorhomes.
The site has become one of the region’s top sustainable holiday parks and is actively working on more ground-breaking environmental initiatives, scooping multiple eco-tourism awards in 2020.
Eco developments made over the past few years include: biomass boiler and solar thermal panels used for all heat and hot water; biomass heated drying room introduced; electric car charge points; purpose-built recycling centre. There’s even a Zero Waste Shop, said to be Britain’s first Zero Waste shop in a holiday park.

UK'S LONGEST BEGINNER MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL OPENS IN WALES
A stunning new 5-km-long beginners downhill mountain bike trail recently opened in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons in Wales. It’s reported to be the longest beginners trail in the country.
The perfect destination for all those looking to reconnect with the great outdoors and enjoy some adventure time away from their yoga mat.
Ideal for competent bike riders looking for excitement, BikePark Wales’ green Kermit trail delivers all the thrills and exhilaration of downhill mountain biking with bermed corners, rock slabs, roller coaster sections and exhilarating tree-lined flow sections.
However, its unique design ensures bike speed can always be controlled, making it the perfect introduction to the world of mountain biking and a fun way for families to enjoy the great outdoors after lockdown.
“At five kilometres long, the Kermit trail offers an awesome introduction to downhill mountain biking in a stunning location,” said BikePark Wales’ founder Martin Astley. “There’s nothing like it anywhere else in the UK and it’s a unique way for beginners and families to enjoy their first taste of this fun sport in a safe and controlled manner.”
