Start planning your autumn getaway now
OM columnist Claudia Brown and colleague Carly Oliver are hosting a luxury yoga and sound healing weekend retreat this October just outside the historic city of Bath. You’ll stay in the plush surroundings of Combe Grove (combegrove.com), working with the frequencies and energies of sound, mind, body and breath to delve into all things divine. Expect lots of yoga, plus sound journeys, a fire ceremony, fabulous food and breathtaking surroundings. During the retreat, there will be a number of unique sound healing sessions: an elemental sound balance with four Koshi chimes, Crystal Alchemy, a Release and Flow session using water instruments, and a shaman ceremony on Saturday evening encompassing the Full Corn Moon. Yoga classes suitable for all levels.
The retreat takes place on 11-13 October, 2019

What could be better this summer than rooftop yoga in Ibiza?
New to Ibiza this summer is daily rooftop yoga at Mikasa, a 16-bedroom hotel located next to the waters of Marina Botafoch, just a short walk away from Ibiza Town and the UNESCO site of Dalt Vila.
Visitors can watch the sun rise over the harbour, as they partake in a 90-minute class while taking in the sparkling blue waters of Ibiza. After the class, the all-day breakfast menu offers heathy Levantine dishes for an energising start to the day, inspired by the flavours from the eastern Mediterranean.
Mikasa boasts 16 individually-designed rooms, each inspired by nature. The modern, stylish rooms are inspired by the four seasons and twelve different moons and can be chosen according to the guest’s mood or whether they are drawn to a particular moon by their individual temperament. All rooms are air conditioned, while bathrooms contain a free beach towel and bag.
Double rooms start from €200 per night based on two people sharing. The classes and breakfast take place from 9.00-10.45 a.m. and are free for those staying at the hotel (outside participants can join for €25pp incl. breakfast).

Luxury mother and baby retreats in Italy
MamaBaba is a new retreat destination in Italy for busy mums and babies that opened its doors earlier this year. It offers mums a blissful week of sun, daily yoga practice, massages and beauty treatments, nourishing seasonal meals, healthy living and onsite Montessori childcare at a wonderful 18th century farmhouse. It provides the ideal setting to forge strong connections and friendships with like-minded women, all in the idyllic surroundings of Lake Garda. As well as providing a relaxing break, the retreat shows mums a good time too, with pasta-making classes and dinners in stunning locations, including at Locanda San Vigilio, a 15th century resort with a spectacular lakefront location.
Founder of MamaBaba Eliza Guarienti worked for over 15 years in high-pressured advertising jobs in Sao Paulo, Paris and London, but decided to leave the industry and embrace her passion for wellbeing in 2017. Now a mother herself, with MamaBaba, she wants to give all mums the chance to enjoy the relaxed Italian lifestyle
