My place

The Isle of Wight became a UNESCO Biosphere in 2019, celebrating its unique and diverse ecosystems and local endeavours to live harmoniously within them. Yogini Jenny Stewart says it’s a beautiful place to live and work; the reason she is on the island is due to its proximity to the sea. “This coastline holds a special place in my heart, and the beach is the place I go to whenever I need to find a sense of perspective, a place of calm,” she tells OM. It’s also where you can find her teaching SUP Yoga and Beach Yoga too. She co-founded her wellness business Balance + Glo on the island, which will be hosting a ‘Find Your Flow’ retreat this Spring 2023, combining yoga, SUP, fitness and adventure, making the most of what the area has to offer. It will be a chance to reconnect with nature and restore energy levels after the winter. “Nothing can beat the feeling of doing yoga in nature.”
