UK: Make ‘em laugh

A bit of crazy yoga appears in the second season of the hit UK comedy show, Last One Laughing, now airing on Prime TV and hosted by Jimmy Carr. Mel Giedroyc attempts to lead her fellow housemates — which include popular TV stars like David Mitchell, Diane Morgan and Romesh Ranganathan — through a simple class, but with little success. After rolling out a mat that housemates observe has seen very little use things pretty much fall apart. Luckily, this class was more for a giggle than a real shot at enlightenment.

Turkey: Yoga and MS

Yoga may help manage symptoms and improve health in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), according to new research by scientists in Turkey. A study examined the effects of a six-week yoga programme on sleep quality, fatigue and physical activity levels in patients with MS. Compared with a control group, the intervention group showed substantial improvements in both sleep quality and physical activity levels, findings that support yoga as an integrative care approach for MS patients.
