My secret place
Yogi: Christine Chung

Location: Fleetwith Pike, Lake District, UK
Nestled in the heart of the Lake District, Fleetwith Pike is my sanctuary for yoga. The sweeping views over Buttermere and the dramatic ridgelines create a breathtaking backdrop for my practice. As I flow through asanas, the crisp mountain air fills my lungs, grounding me in nature’s embrace. The serenity here is unmatched —just the whisper of the wind and the occasional call of a distant bird.
One of my favourite spots to pause and stretch is the rocky outcrop near the summit, where the land falls away to reveal a stunning panorama of Buttermere and Honister Pass. At the very top of a hike, I take time for meditation and breathwork, letting the energy of the mountains fill me with stillness and clarity. Inhaling the fresh air, I feel a deep connection to nature, as if the landscape itself is breathing with me. Fleetwith Pike isn’t just a place; it’s a feeling—a retreat where mind, body, and nature unite in perfect harmony.
