My secret place

The photo shows Aileen O’Connell enjoying some time outdoors
on the yoga mat last summer, looking to the future. For millions of
people around the world, the yoga mat provides a daily anchor amid
all the ups and downs of ordinary life. “This photo was taken by a
photographer friend of mine on a hidden path in Ireland that used to
be an old railroad,” she tells OM. “The sun was setting at the end of
summer in the photo and I was full of hope for the future. Since then so
much has changed in my life and I am holding on to hope.”
