Yes You Can Mantra

It’s a new year, time to set yourself goals and intentions. Believe in yourself, follow your dreams and make it happen. Know that you are stronger than you think you are and you are enough. Meditate on this mantra by repeating over and over in your head to help you believe that you do have what it takes and yes you can.

Warrior 2 (Virabhadrasana II)

This pose is perfect to accompany your mantra. Be a warrior and hold your head high. From Mountain pose (Tadasana) step the left foot back long down the mat. The front heel is in line with the instep of your back foot. Take a deep bend in your right knee, making sure your knee is tracking over your ankle. External rotation of the front leg, to help open the hip. Reach your arms out wide parallel to the mat, shoulder blades wide, palms down, fingertips active. Draw your lower abdomen in and up and lengthen your spine. Take your drishti (your gaze) over your front fingertips and relax your shoulders away from your ears.
