INEA Yoga: Corfu Greece

INEA Yoga

Greek sunshine paradise retreat set on dreamy Corfu

Reading time: 3 minutes

Namaste and Kalimera from Greece,” say Athena and Cedric, founders of INEA-YOGA, as they invite you to join them on the magical island of Corfu. Their doors are open for a full programme of yoga retreats and teacher trainings annually from April to October. If you like to combine sun, beach and yoga, you've found the right place. With expert teachers, exquisite local and seasonal food, and peaceful rooms and surroundings, let yourself be enchanted as you bring movement and prana (life energy) into your body, meet like[1]minded people and immerse yourself in the teachings of yoga.

Whether old or young, beginner or advanced, fit or not, everyone who visits their Mediterranean oasis is invited to remove their normal roles and masks, and just be. What a relief! All offerings are voluntary — you decide whether it feels right for you to join every class, go to the morning meditation only, or perhaps just to sleep in. Instead of having another reason to stress, the couple graciously encourage you to listen to your body and your needs, and to follow what feels right for you right now.

Your retreat day starts with a meditation and active but gentle yoga class. Morning sessions are a mix of breathing exercises, vinyasa and tantra yoga, and range from a soft, dynamic flow to a calm, inward-focused moving-meditation, designed to gently wake up the body and mind

Afternoons offer additional satsang-like workshops, where you’re invited to dive together into various topics to discuss teachings from yoga philosophy (for example, ‘What is spirituality?’, ‘the chakras’ or ‘pranayama’), or help with alignment of yoga poses.

The evening class is a deeply relaxing yin yoga practice in which you can allow yourself to let go completely. Some evenings are also rounded off with a sound bath or a mantra chanting circle, with additional activities, such as hiking or a boat trip also available during the week. All classes are in English, with Cedric speaking fluent German, and Athena (born and raised right here!), fluent Greek.

If you want to combine yoga with a sea and sandy beach holiday, perhaps have stress or emotional difficulties in your everyday life and want to finally relax, are looking for new perspectives, community and togetherness, or you want to delve deeper into the teachings of yoga, look no further — INEA-YOGA will welcome you with open arms.
