Luna Wave is a unique space dedicated to the practice and wisdom of yoga. The studio is located on the first floor Eastern terrace of Sea Lanes in Brighton, with stunning views towards the sea. With bifold doors spanning the length of the studio, the outside world merges with the internal space, immersing you in the soothing symphony of distant waves and the gentle murmur of swimmers in the pool below.

“We believe in the transformative power of yoga to nourish not only the physical body but also the mind and spirit,” says co-founder and owner Laura Brown. “Understanding that everyone has different needs in their approach, we offer a diverse schedule of classes and practices, ranging from dynamic and invigorating to gentle and introspective. Different teachers provide unique perspectives on the physical and mental aspects of yoga, allowing you to explore and discover what resonates best with your individual path.”

The Luna Wave Yoga approach also integrates elements of sound, light, and scent to help create a sense of ‘new-ness’ and wonder, shifting the mind from thinking mode and guiding students towards the present moment. This approach honours the ancient pathways of yoga wisdom, as well as recognising our modern need for respite from our busy, task oriented lives.

“We are committed to creating an inclusive space where practitioners of all backgrounds and abilities feel embraced, encouraged, and supported throughout their yoga journey,” adds fellow co-founder and owner Mike Lord. “We will always encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. After class, feel free to stay and chat, sharing anything that has come up for you, or that could enhance your practice.”

The studio is open seven days a week, from 6.30am - 9pm, and boasts a full and extensive offering to all. On Monday, there’s a community (free) Hatha class at 11am, while on Tuesday, there’s a weekly free practice session for teachers at 2pm.

Come along and find out more, says studio manager, Jasmine Newsome-Stone. “Join us at Luna Wave, and let the combination of a vibrant community, fantastic teachers, and a beautiful environment aid you in your practice of yoga, bringing the most out of your time on the yoga mat, and empowering you to carry your practice out into the world.”
