Welcome to Hum Yoga + Meditation, your sanctuary situated in the heart of London City Island—a locale so unique it has earned the nickname ‘Mini Manhattan’. Surrounded by waterways and lush greenery, but still incredibly close to Central London, Hum epitomises the best of both urban and natural worlds. This isn’t just about having a studio in a special place; it's an invitation to a lifestyle that harmoniously blends wellness, community, and modern convenience.

Meet Oriana Shepherd, the studio's insightful founder. Her Welsh Italian heritage aligns with the studio's multicultural community. Trained by Tara Stiles at Strala Yoga in New York, she channels that metropolitan vibe, offering East London a haven where members can unplug, relax and recharge.

What sets Hum apart? Variety is the spice of life here. The studio not only offers a wide array of yoga and Pilates classes but also enriching events like soundbaths, mindfulness workshops and even a monthly book club focusing on wellness literature. Once a month members are offered the chance to experience sunrise over the city with Hum's Yoga in the Sky, a practice 29 floors up on a viewing platform overlooking Canary Wharf and the City (weather permitting).

Moreover, the studio wears its heart on its sleeve by volunteering and offering donation-based classes, with proceeds going to support a local homeless charity. Hum celebrates diversity, boasting an active membership from over 30 countries, reflecting the eclectic tapestry of London’s vibrant, multicultural population, so whether you’re a yoga novice or a seasoned pro, there’s a class for your level, led by a certified instructor who resonates with you.

But wait, there’s more. Hum has ambitious plans to open five additional studios strategically located across London within the next five years, with each maintaining the brand’s signature quality and community focus. This is a sprawling wellness ecosystem in the making, aimed at seamlessly incorporating holistic health and urban wellbeing into Londoners' busy lives. There’s also the opportunity to go beyond the mat, with in-house and overseas residential teacher training and curated wellness retreats — all set in a gorgeously restored 18th-century Palazzo in Italy, complete with modern amenities.

In a bustling metropolis that rarely slows down, Hum Yoga + Meditation offers a tranquil space for Londoners and international visitors to breathe, move and connect. When you walk through the studio doors, you’re not merely attending a class — you're joining a supportive community that equips you with the tools to navigate life's challenges with resilience, balance, and grace.
