This sequence prepares us for one-legged king pigeon pose by opening the front of the body, hips and shoulders. It’s a deep back-bend but safe modifications are provided throughout, making the sequence accessible to all practitioners. As always, work at the level that is appropriate for your body each day. Start off with 2–3 rounds of Surya Namaskara A & B (Sun Salutation A & B) connecting with your mind, body and breath.
