Mantra of the month

love-yourself-first
Love yourself first

Take a moment to ask yourself: do you truly love yourself? What you look like and who you are? Ponder that for a moment.

A lot of us would struggle to say yes. We all have things we don't like about our appearance, or even who we are, especially if we feel a sense of guilt or shame over something that's happened in our life.

Well, here is an important message I want to share with you. Make it your mission this week, month, or even this year, to love yourself and put yourself first by doing things that make you happy and help you to grow.

We all have lots of love in our hearts for others around us, and we have a lot of love to give, but we must remember to give some of that love to ourselves, which can be hard when there are barriers in the way, such as shame or guilt.

My advice to help start to love yourself more is to invite a self-love practice into your daily routine. Whether that be meditation, journaling, investing in therapy to heal, coaching to grow or treating yourself to a calming massage to help free your mind of tension, any self-love act you can incorporate into your daily, weekly or monthly routine will give you the tools you need to move forward with a deeper sense of self-compassion, respect and, in turn, love.

Find gratitude daily, write it down. Know that you are worthy of it all and be proud to say you love yourself. Others will love you for it too.
