Mantra of the month

fael-the-fear

Since running my own small business, one thing I have learnt to embrace is the feeling of vulnerability. I once read that vulnerability is our highest measure of courage, and I couldn't agree more. Putting yourself in a scary, uncomfortable or unfamiliar situation is the best thing you can do to face and accomplish your fears. From fear we grow and we learn from our mistakes and from our victories.

If we can prove to ourselves that we can feel the fear and do it anyway, we are growing, learning, inspiring and teaching others that anything is possible. If you were to sit down and write down your ultimate dream, what would it be? Now write down what it is that is stopping you from working towards that dream? Are you scared you will fail? Scared people will judge you? Figure out what your fears are and make a plan to face those fears. To face them head on will take you closer to conquering them.

Whatever you're scared of go be vulnerable and face it head on. I promise it will be worth it!

Try this pose... Crow pose (Bakasana)
This pose is perfect to accompany your mantra. This pose takes a lot of courage to master! When learning to find the balance, place a cushion underneath your face, which will help take some of the fear away from falling flat on your face. Keep going, with practice you will get there.
