Rise & Shine: Why I've Been Getting Up at 5am and Why It Will Change Your Life Too

Reading time: 5 minutes

There is a moment, just before the world wakes up, when everything becomes possible.

It is 5:55 AM in London. The city is still. And for over past eight years, without fail, I have stepped onto my mat — and invited others to do the same.

What began as a personal commitment to my own learning and healing, has grown into something I could never have imagined: a living, breathing movement of grace, gratitude and transformation, shared with hundreds of people across the globe. From London to Warsaw, from Sydney to Lithuania and beyond, the Rise & Shine community gathers each morning to do something quietly radical — to choose themselves, first thing, to align, every single day whatever the weather.

I am Wiola Diamondheart, a Teacher Trainer and Facilitator of the Sacred Flow. For over 25 years I have dedicated my life to healing and expansion of awareness, with 17 of those years anchored in the transformative technology of Kundalini Yoga. My passion / work bridges ancient soul-wisdom with modern mental clarity, offering a fusion of energetics that leads toward unshakeable inner strength, genuine peace and gentle self-love. It’s been a journey indeed ….

But let me be clear about something from the start: I am not here to give you anything you don't already have. I am here to assist you wake up to the extraordinary you already are.

Wake Up. Shape Your Reality. Create a Masterpiece.

The Practice

Rise & Shine is a daily Kundalini Yoga Flow and Meditation session, live on zoom at 5:55am UK time. Each session follows a consistent, flowing structure: an inspirational opening, pranayama - breathwork, a sequence of exercises, deep relaxation, chanting meditation and a closing prayer.

The whole journey takes one hour (sometimes feels like just few minutes )— and the effects last all day.

What makes this practice so powerful is precisely its consistency. We work with the same set of exercises over a 40-day cycle. In Kundalini Yoga, 40 days is considered the minimum time needed to break old patterns and establish a new habit. With right intention you may shift years of suffering, dissolves limiting belief and blocks , install freedom and courage to live life of your desires. Day by day, the practice doesn't just become easier — it becomes a part of who you are. It

became a LIFESTYLE for me. I do it because I want to, not because I have to. And I love it!

My sharing is grounded in the five Aquarian Sutras, with one holding a particularly sacred place in my heart: "There is a way through every block." This is not a motivational phrase. It is a lived truth that I have witnessed transform lives, including my own enormously.

First I do yoga. Then I do things.

This is my motto — this is my medicine, my anchor and the single most important decision I make each day, especially when I find myself struggling with something…

What Kundalini Yoga Actually Does

Kundalini Yoga is often called the Yoga of Awareness and for good reason. Unlike practices focused primarily on physical fitness, Kundalini works on the whole system — body, mind, nervous system and energetic field — simultaneously.

Through regular practice, students/ participants experience a profound shift in mental clarity. The fog lifts. Decisions become easier. A quiet confidence begins to replace the anxious chatter of daily life. Physically, energy levels rise, sleep improves and the body begins to feel less like a burden and more like a loving home.

But perhaps the most significant transformation is subtler than any of these. It is the shift from what I call the worrier mindset to the warrior heart — from feeling at the mercy of your circumstances to meeting life with steadiness, grace and an unshakeable sense of self.

Remember who you are. Not the version shaped by stress, by doubt, by years of simply getting

through the day. The deeper version — the one that exists beneath all of that. Kundalini Yoga is the technology that strips away the noise and returns you to that truth. This is the architecture of deep soul-transformation. And it is available to you at 6 o'clock every morning.

Years of Evidence

I do not speak theoretically. Over eight years of daily practice, whether sharing from home or at

retreats worldwide — witnessing others transform through it — have shown me what is possible when we commit to ourselves with this kind of consistency and love.

The testimonials speak louder than I ever could.

"I wake up unbalanced — it helps me align. I wake up sad — it helps me align. I wake up too happy — it helps me align. Rise & Shine gives me a boost, hope, strength and new desires. It really helps me fall in love with a new day, myself and life, every single day." — Lina, Lithuania

"I always feel like you are in the room with me. Yours are in their own league because you have been practicing for so long. It is a lovely way to do Kundalini." — Lise T, London

"I finish feeling blessed and calm. Stepping up to be a light in times of chaos requires courage. My morning kriya and meditation mantra helps me sustain this courage." — Katie, Sydney, Australia

"Wonderful flow of energy, inner peace, state of bliss. I love your energy and dynamics!" — Ania, Poland

These are not exceptional outcomes. They are what happens when people show up for themselves, consistently, in a container held with love and real expertise.
