Sounds like Katherine did a very nice job making your foray into yoga easier than otherwise it could be. One nice resource yoga teachers could place on their website would be a "New to Yoga" menu link prominently displayed which explains very simply what yoga is and to direct new yogis to a beginner class on the schedule. This, in my view, would take some of the mystery out of it and would encourage newcomers to attend. Thanks for your post. It's very instructive as personal experiences often are.
